When I did a walk-around of my black S for the first time last weekend, all I noticed was a few rock chips; nothing that couldn't be touched up. It had been sitting out in the used car lot for a while, I imagine, and had a good cover of dust.
It wasn't until I washed it today that I saw the ugly swirls and more nicks and scratches than I'd like.
It's going to take a LOT of work to get a finish that I'm happy with.
I would definitely pick another black one. The only other colour I considered was white, but it was not available in Canada so my choice was really easy .

I had a 2000 nighthawk black pearl before my sebring silver S. While black is beautiful when it's clean, its horrible when it's dirty and unless you just washed it 5 minutes ago its dirty pal. I would definately not trade back colors. Well, maybe if I still had a garage...
