All of the pics I posted are of the car after driving it (except for the one with the reflection of my house on the trunk). The last pic was after a 3 hour drive!!!

Hehe, thanks for the positive feedback. Black is not so bad when you keep it detailed properly. The porter cable, combo of Klasse, Griots, works to deepen the shine and protect the paint. The griots does an amazing job of keeping dust off as well. I use the duster once every other day and the black always stays sparkling.. lest it rains.

Saint graciously let me use his porter cable and I am definitely thinking of picking one up, it makes the job of waxing 100% easier and quicker! That outstanding shine in the photos did not really require tons of wax, just one coat of Klasse and one coat of Griots pure carnuba.

I originally wanted a silver, but they only had black. I like the looks of black better, but knew it would be a pain to care for. I'm glad I got black though. It shows what an enthusiast I am of the car, since I tend to keep it clean. I get compliments on it pretty much daily. Of course, I do live in a tourists town.

Has anyone heard of a "computer chip" that will make the S2000 run faster, especially from 0rpm to 65rpm?

Have the black! Love the black! And would definitely buy it again!

My first choice was the white with full red, but we don't get that combo in the UK so opted for Black!

PITA to keep clean but looks absolutely amazing when it is!

Love the black, but as has been mentioned many times, it's a real pain to keep clean. If the new S is going to be your daily driver, then be sure that you will be willing to make the time and effort to keep it clean. If you have a beater, then black all the way!

Red,

Don't defect to the darkside. Red is faster. Also you won't be a redhead anymore. Just get a mugen black hardtop and a black hood and you can be both.

You should have an idea of how hard it is to maintain a dark colored car. For me, I will probably go with white or silver for my RX-8.
