Pinky, I still didn't get your opinion. Which components for under $500?

Thanks to everyone who participated!

pfb, what model did you get? That carmedia website has 6.5" ads components ranging from 1645.00 to 200.00. Anyone know anywhere else to get a/d/s/?
I got the 2 series 6" seperates, the 236is, with the P240.2 two-channel amp. Current cost at carmedia is $239 + $179. I also purchased some Dynamat sound deading material. Stock head unit.

I found the 2-series series speakers for a few bucks less, but the amp was by far the cheapest at carmedia. The amp, by the way, is discontinued, but still available through many outlets.

Sounds great! Lots of crystal clear volume. I mounted the tweeters in the windshield pillars.

If you want to find other sources, type "ads 236is" in a google search. You'll find lots of suppliers....
