It is a 2003 VIN. Kinda lets you know what kind of work was done on it. Half-assed IMO. If it was done with insurance, they would have out the MY03 top on it but this was done cheaply. Besides, since when does "a small damage to the right rear wheel" consist in replacing the top?
Fishy is an understatement!!!
Fishy is an understatement!!!
He put an entire Veilside kit on it AFTER the accident and is selling it NOW? Who puts that kind of time/money into a car only to sell it several weeks later?
Anyone noticed he never shows any pics of the right side of the car, the one that was supposedly damaged in the crash?

I just logged into eBay and sent an email to the top 5 bidders saying "suggested reading" and a link to this thread.
they can come here, read, and come to their own conclusions, but I'm all about full-disclosure and fully-informed consumers.
in fact, I'm going to start doing this whenever somebody on s2ki posts "fishy" looking ebay auctions. I won't suggest a course of action for the bidder, but just that they read the thread and come to their own conclusions.
EDIT: in fact, I sent an email to the seller too. might as well give him/her an opportunity to explain. fair is fair.

yeah i think thats a good idea tritium_pie ...nothing worse then getting a car and it not be as good as you expected due to not enough information or whatever... the last car i got...i was informed after a month that i bought it, the guy before me abused the $hit out of it and sprayed the hell out of the engine and everything....with this auction why would their be a new top with the plastic window if their was damage to the right rear wheel..makes no sense..i hope no one get screwed on that deal...
