Audi TT vs. S2K
We're being unfair...
The TT is a great car for someone who wants a "sporty looking" car who would never drive a S2000 past 7/10ths of it's capabilities anyway.
All-wheel drive, a really neat interior, decent power, reasonable price, head-turning looks.
Just don't plan on turning any heads at the track with your lap times.

Believe it or not, a co-worker of mine saw my S2000 for the first time and thought it was a TT! He was surprised when I told him it was a Honda and he replied with, "I didn't know the Japanese made sports cars. I thought all sports cars came from Europe."
Okay, I know what you're thinking: "What an idiot." I have to agree with you. I didn't say he was a friend, just a co-worker. He's one of those types that sort of walks around with his nose up in the air and only believes in European cars (he drives a 740i).
The icing on the cake was when he made the comment, "So someday you'll get a real sports car?"

About 3 wks ago Road & Driver talked about changes to the TT from a year ago. Can't remember them, however there were at least three, significant enough to make me think I wouldn't want one, even though they are a great looking design, but don't you think they look a little trendy vs the S2K which is a more timeless sports car design?
I agree completely with Greg Stevens' judgment on the TT. All the drivers I've seen have been women. Not that I'm sexist, but that's just been my observation.
The TT is a car designed by marketers for a niche market. The S2000 is a car desiged by engineers for serious drivers. And that makes all the difference in the world.

In addition to adding the spoiler, Audi toned down its suspension. Autoweek refered to it as being "dumbed down". They also said it plowed through the skid circle shuddering the whole time. Its slalom numbers where lower than the S4.
The TT is no more a roadster than the Eclipse Spyder. The Porsche, BMW and Honda are built on roadster chassis'. The TT is built on the econocar Golf chassis. Yes, it is solid and has lots of toys (of course it comes with Audi quality like first year roof leaks). Lets compare apples to apples, not apples to lemons, uh, I mean oranges.
