Default Automatic 0-60 speculation?

Does anyone care to speculate on what 0-60 times would be achievable with the Automatic transmission thats being proposed for the future S2000?

I guess you'd have to rev high in neutral and shift into drive to get the same effect unless the transmissions 'sport' settings would detect quick starts and do it for you.

Anyone?

Only pussies drive automatic sportscars! Add a couple of seconds to the six-speed's time and you're probably in the ballpark

Yep- I agree.

But its not as if there aren't a bunch of pussies dropping their clutches at 8K and whining about burnt out clutches.

Maybe they can switch to an automatic and save themselves from that horrible fate.

7 seconds. There will be no high RPM clutch drops on an automatic.

So you put it in Neutral, rev to 8 grand and shift into drive.

I thought the quick take-off method in a conventional automatic involved having the car in gear while pressing the brake and applying throttle. By doing this, you load up the torque convertor, making for the best take-off mode. I know this technique worked on my dad's '63 T-Bird. Hell, that sun-of-a-buck would even chirp when shifting into second when driven con brio.
