195k on mine. I only replaced because I was swapping motors, otherwise the disc still had some material left on it.

Besides being my DD for a long time, it has seen many track and auto-x events, including a day at the the drag strip.

I'm approaching 40K on my '03. I can tell the clutch is not the finest when I am going up through the lower gears quickly. I definitely would upgrade if I autoXed this car. My last daily driver was a Protege with over 450K on the original clutch, so i do look after them.

OK, I'm going to ask the stupid question. What is rev-matching? Maybe I'm doing it, but don't know what you all are referring to, maybe I'm not? I down-shift to slow the car down, but the tach never goes to red line.

Rev-matching is when you are shifting and you blip the throttle to matching the RPM's with the gear that you are going into. Lets say I'm in forth gear going 45mph, and I want to aggressively pass a car in front of me. I would push in the clutch, blip the throttle and spike the RPM's up to 5k, put it into third gear and the rpms is matched with the speed of the car. If that makes sense..

Bringing this back from the dead but im curious to see what people will post now that its been a while since the s2k has came out. Im at 165k with still the original clutch running strong! Original serpentine belt(with slight cracks), original retainers(replacing this weekend for peace of mind), original timing chain tensioner, just pretty much original everything except for plugs, air filter, and fluids. Hows everyones cars holdin up?

I'd look under the dash and see if your clutch master cylinder is leaking. Unless you're unsure of the car's history, or if you've been beating on it, the original clutch should last over 100k miles. My 02 with 130k miles has a weeping CMC, and im about to replace it. (clutch was replaced last week due to motor swap, and I think the symptoms of a bad CMC were shrouded by an old clutch with high engagement point).

Worth 2 minutes of your time to check, IMO.
