I revmatch downshift daily and have no problems with my transmission or clutch. If you can revmatch properly you aren't placing excessive wear on your clutch or tranny. Like stated previously, It all depends on the driver. Driver error will wear consumables.

116k on the odo btw.

105k on my 00. Clutch was replaced at 77k by previous owner. Daily driven and only issue I have is clutch buzz, which is normal for AP1's. Only recently I've had some engagement issues, and that is because I reallllllyyy need to change my clutch fluid.

Lol yea for ap2 owners, removing the delay valve solves about 5% of slippage. Thats y i got me a lightweight flywheel and comp stage 2 clutch. And now i can chirp 4th lol. Best mod for ap2 imo. Still buzzes like a mofo though but eh

Best way to test for clutch slip is to floor the car and apply brakes when the engine is near peak torque. If RPM drops with vehicle speed then the clutch is capable of holding maximum engine output torque. If you need to verify it doesn't slip when heated, then slip the clutch a little prior to testing.

We've established that its not "slipping", only doesnt grab between hard shifts.

Replacing mine at 105k

Not slipping but engagement point has started to feel quite bad. It's like... nothing nothing nothing, then a tiny engagement region, then holds rock solid.

Swapping it for a stage 2 to get a better engagement feel.
