While you're at it, why don't you make the car into a submarine, like James Bond's Lotus Esprit in "The Spy Who Loved Me?"
Oh yeah...
Oh yeah...

Have to get the water tight hard top first, with the optional periscope
no..isn't that called a front midship engine? that means that it's mounted behind the front axle but in front of the passenger compartment
a mid engine HAS to be behind the passenger compartment and in front of rear axle

midship is another name for mid-engine.
Do you know that MR2 is called midship as well?
I couldnt find much info on mid-engine cars on google, i hope his one helps

it says
"Perhaps a definition of mid-engine is in order. It simply means the motor sits between the driver and the rear wheels. There have been a few front, mid-engine cars like the Citroen SM where the motor sits between the driver and the front wheels but this is a difficult design chore. Most cars either have the majority of the motor's weight in front of the front wheels (front engine) or in back of the rear wheels (rear-engine) like the Porsche 911 or Corvair. While every major automotive producing country has offered mid-engine cars, the United States has produced very few. The most US middie was the short-lived Pontiac Fiero. The Germans have also avoided the mid-engine layout with only the BMW M1 and Porsche 914 and 914-6. The Japanese and French have offered a few more middies and the British are second only to the Italians in mid-engine production."
Here's the s2k engine layout:

It shows the engine right behind the front axel. Does this mean it's a mid-engine car? Depends on who you talk to...
Messing around with engine placement, like the sti swap would destroy the car's balance. Making the car 4wd will not make it faster, it'll make it heavier. If you want to whoop srt4, throw in a turbo or a supercharger.

also, the s2000 isn't wide enough for the transversely mounted engine and tranny of the evo.
another thing, to make a AWD s2000 fast, you HAVE to slip the clutch. that means if you want to "smoke" SRTs you have to go through clutches a lot.
of course, a stock S2000 already "smokes" a SRT4 by several tenths anyway.

Does anyone know around how much it would cost to make an s2000 awd. Image an s2000 awd it would easily woop an srt4 from a complete stop.
