Back to S2Ki (looking for a track toy)
Hey guys.
Long time! Not sure if any OGs are still around but I'm back in the market for an s2k to mod and use as a track toy - it will be my fourth s2000. I already have a daily but probably will drive the heck out of the s2k. I miss my old Voltex - never got to track that car. After I sold my S fseveral years ago I went through a bunch of cars. The closest thing I found that was as go-kart focused as the s2k was the 981 cayman and 981 boxtser, followed by the 991 GT3 (had two). Actually ran into an s2ki member up in Angeles Crest Highway with my white GT3 a couple months ago It got me thinking I should get another s2ki and voltex it up for some track duties. Currently I'm in a Mclaren 570s which gets the weekend duties - I don't want to track it due to the ceramic brakes and other running costs being too high so it'll be strictly a weekend / canyon warrior. I'll post up as soon as I find a suitable AP2

Wow gorgeous McLaren! It is great to hear that you've gone through so many world class sports cars and supercars and still want to go back to an s2000

Thank you. The s2000 is such a fun car, it's light and loves to turn. I think thats been my focus on finding, light cars that loves to corner. As long as you can carry your speed through the turns and not let off you'll have a lot of fun. I'm planning on a full voltex build, suspension, cage, mugen hardtop and some TE37s, probably will go with stoptech BBK (had those on my last S2k). I thought about going with amuse but it would be too wide for how many miles I want to put on it.

I'm still relatively new to S2K ownership and am loving it so far. I wish you the best of luck with finding another one that is suitable for your needs.
My son and I checked out the Vancouver International Auto Show which was going on while we were there and they had a number of McLaren's on display. Good stuff!
