Default Back for some Qs on higher miles S2k

Hey Guys, been quite some time since i have been on here since i sold my S2000 but I might be getting another one here soon for autoX.

I am looking at a 05 S2000 with 66k on it. Just wanted to know if there is anything motor wise i should look for to make sure everything is ok since it will be a weekend autoXer.

I hope to be back soon rollin with the top down.... well as soon as winter is over.

Thanks guys!

Mike

I bought a 04 with 61K get. Just changing oil and I'm now at almost 90K a little over a year later.

I wouldn't be worried about much motor wise. Check out the top though 05+ had some tearing issues.

Once bought I changed all fluids less the coolant.

66k is pretty low mileage if you ask me. I bought mine 3.5 years ago at 29k and now i'm at 94K and all i've done is fluid changes and replaced a leaky master cylinder. Just recently i changed spark plugs and got a valve adjustment.

Remember it's a Honda. As stated before change all the fluids and your good to o.

At 66k you shouldn't have to worry about much. For peace of mind you might want to have a compression test done on the motor. Also make sure there are not any other mechanical or cosmetic issues with the car. My car has 105k on it and it runs perfect, so 66k is nothing. Good luck with getting back into an S.
