Just saw this s2k on CL. The windows huge. You can cut that flap off and make it larger? Any want to shed some light? lawl

I'm sure it's there for max track day visibility to see all the disgruntled Miata owners on passes

But really, is that plastic or?

AP1... plastic window.... I suppose one could cut off the extra material, can't imagine why...

No, I know what he did. His back plastic window ripped (which was very common) and in being cheap he wanted to just replace that piece. Well the original plactic window is woven into the seam of the fabric edge so it's virtually impossible to replace without having leaks through the seam. What he did was shoved a larger piece of plastic up into the recess of the outer fabric so that when it rains it there's not a point where it can leak through ha shoddy seam. It's still poor quality work though. People just need to replace the top when that thing breaks.
