[QUOTE=JohnR_in_la,Oct 5 2005, 09:56 PM] You can blame it on the road, if there is something unusual about road conditions... oil would cause that accident.

So you should have taken 50 pictures of the road, in hopes of getting one that made it look like there was oil on the road. ...

R, what insurance company do you have out of curiosity?
Allstate for 2003 and 2004. The 2005 rates were going to be higher than what I posted so now we are with State Farm.

if I got into an accident that might be my fault, I will make sure it turns out to be your fault, and screw your insurance rates for life. People like you deserve to get sued for $100K for a 3mph rear bumper tap.
And WE'RE d1ckheads?

SlasherX, same goes for you as well.

Half of what we all post on this forum is sarcastic comedy. I would have thought the tone of my reply could easily be recognized as sarcasm.

May I ask what make, model, and size tires you were running? For example, Bridgestone S-02, 205 front, 225 rear...

What tire pressures were you running front/rear?

How much tread remains on the rear tires?

That was a frightening crash you experienced! You might have burned to death, or been a "million dollar baby." No wonder your poor wife is crying, inconsolably.

I'm glad you're okay. The car is just "stuff" and can be replaced. You cannot be replaced -- now go give your loving wife a hug from both of us!

P.S. I can say things like that because I'm probably older than your father. :-)
Kumho Ecsta Supra's 225 rear, 205 front on stock rims

about 1/2 tread life left on the rear, and getting close to time to replace the front.

American Family Insurance with full coverage (except rental car - unfortunately)

2001 s2k with no mods

Anyone else who wants to contribute positively is free to PM me. Having just almost died it's kind of stressing me out to read the negative responses and be accused of lying.

Those tires are too narrow. (but I drive on that size all winter and don't crash)

I believe Woodson is correct. Your front to rear stagger is wrong with the rears being too narrow compared to the fronts. Seems to me that this would increase the tail happiness of the car and make a rear end step out harder to control.
