I just want to warn all of you people out here. I had a bad experience at ISLAND SECURITY AND SOUND which is located in Bayshore, NY 11706 on Pine Aire Drive. This is the story:

I made an appointment with them to get my Windows tinted (2002 S2000). first of all you have to come to the place and leave a deposit, which is fine and all.

Well I bring in my car on a week later to get my windows mirror tinted. I wanted my mirror almost half way up the windows and i wanted 35% ("legal", if that means anything). I bring it in and wait. Then the car's done. I come out to look at it. Im looking at it and I could barely see the mirror. I looked at both sides and I noticed something strange as if the mirror wasnt even. So the technician, which by the way is a cocky little bastard tells me that the Honda s2000 comes with a factory green tint so that takes away from the effect. So I was like fine, and I left. So I got home and start looking at it and the moron technician put about 3 inches of mirror on the drivers windows and about 5 inches of mirror on the passenger's window. so this upset me real bad. so I had to make an appointment anyway to bring it in again to get the windshield strip done as my windshield was cracked. So I made the appointment and specifically told them Im bringing the car in to get the strip done and to get the driver's window matched to the passenger side. so this day comes ( a week later), the cocky bastard puts the strip on, my car comes out of the shop and I notice the window isnt fixed. So I asked him, why not? so tells me that they are too busy and they cant do it, so I told him I specifically made an appontment to get these 2 things done, so hes like sorry can not do it, and thats with an attitude and im really trying to hold myself back because it would be a mess if i didnt. So fine I made the appointment for next week again to get this fixed next Saturday. So I called on Friday to make sure so they dont ass me over like las time. So this cocky bastard gets on the phone so I told him im calling to make sure everything is on for tomorrow (Saturday). So hes like: well isnt that why we book appointments? so I told him, well last time you didnt do what you were supposed to do and again he said the same thing so I was like whatever.

So Saturday comes which is today and I bring it in and told him that I wanted the drivers (3" mirror) matched to the passenger side (5" mirror). So, this time another technician comes out and tries to drive the car in but the moron could not even start the car, Hes like why wont it start? So I was like maybe if you press that BIG RED BUTTON, it might just start. So he takes it in, I wait then it comes out and im looking and I just could not believe my eyes, The idiots redid the wrong window, so now both my windows have a little tiny bit of mirror, but I guess they match. but not what I wanted. so now im really furious, I walk in im like what the hell didnt you guys understand? so I told him that it was uneven and now its not what i wanted, so he goes: "you know im not God to be able to match both windows the same exact length, so I was like are you kidding me? you dont have to be God to notice that its fu**ed up. Anyone can see that. so I told him I wanted some refund so I can go to a real professional place that can follow instructions, and not a whole bunch of hoodlum rats. so he was like NO. so I told him you know what its best for you that I walk off right now. I dont know where you got your reputation from because YOU SUCK, YOUR WORK SUCKS AND YOU ALL SUCK. And that point I started walking out because I was getting way too heated and that counter wasnt going to stop me either if I stayed. So the other idiot is waiting for me holding the door, so I told him thank you very much, you can at least do this right, maybe you shouldve been a door man at a hotel or something and not doing this, you are in the wrong business, you bunch of as***oles. So hes like have a nice day and enjoy your car, so I was like you better believe it I will enjoy every minute of this beautiful car. So I left and theres always gotta be a first time for everything. I had never lit up the tires the way I did outta the parking lot but I had to do it. It was an awesome tire burning show. So one of the idiots come out and takes down my plate number.

so guys im sorry that it was long but this is what happened. For you guys that live on Long Island that want tint or system, I recommend a place like Main Stereo that does quality work, not a hoodlum place full of rats. They do charge a little less but thats because their quality sucks. And I learned my lesson, dont take shortcuts by paying less, pay good to get good quality.

 

That hella sucks man, if I lived in NY I would have to go have a word with em. I HATE it when dumb a$$ companys do that crap.

 

sometimes its not the companies fault..they just have dumb technicians..some of these guys get jealous that certain people can afford the luxury of driving a nice car and here they are making minimum wage so they f*ck you over. It happens where ever you go..especially if your young and have alot of money..oh well..at least you have a s2k and he's pimping out in a escort

You guys are right, im the one driving the nice car while they are working to try to pay their insurance on their escort.

I feel better now that I vented. They will be seeing my tire marks for a little while. My present to them. But I am still going to call them back and tell them that I got it redone at a professional place, not a hoodlum place, and that it came out right the first time. In fact that is what happened. got it redone and back to me in a matter of 20 minutes. These guys are good.

im also going to tell them to shove the money up theirs and to get a make over and some hair on his head. This guy does need both, and I guess thats why he took it out on me.

 

there is plenty of "hoodlem" places around here. thanks for the tip ill be sure to stay away from that one. have you ever been to ultima performance in lynbrook? they have experiance with working with s2000's there. i was told theyre gonna have a turbo s2k at hot import nights in atlantic city over the summer

 

What a bunch of absolute morons!! Sorry to hear you had to go through all of that. Perhaps that place also performs free Frontal Lobotomies and they experimented on some of those techos

 

I've only passed by ultima performance but never stopped by. Maybe I should check them out. I gotta make sure I got the date down for the hot import night because I defenitely wanna see that turbo S2k.


And back to these morons, I just dont know how they couldnt do something simple like that. I guess the S2000 can be a difficult car to do with such small windows (I just mean the opposite). Imagine these morons specifically the one that drove it in was sitting in the car for about 2 minutes, because he couldnt start it. luckily I went back outside just to get my water, when he asked me how to start it.. My girlfriend does not know jack about cars and it took her 20 seconds to see that big red button.
