Default basic mods

i am somewhat of a newby to upgrading the s2000. i can't seem to find out what people are doing to add power to there cars. i don't want forced induction yet b/c i can't do a supercharger a clutch and anything else right now. i want some type of bolt on mods or electrical mods to make good gains. am i right in assuming the s2000 is good from the factory and hard to pull much out without doing seroius changes. i have an aem intake and invidia exhaust. headers don't seem to be all that helpful. i see people talking about teh vafc but i don't know what it does to a basically stock car. what is everyone else doing with success, not including busting open the engine as stroker kitting.

Only expect 20hp more max out of your F20c without FI or Stroker kit.

If I were in your shoes I would get Rick's 4.57 gears. This would give a little bit more grunt in the mid range of the power band and a little bit better accelleration. I would also get the V-AFC II such that you go to a dyno place and tune you intake and exhaust mods with the air and fuel. This too can give you some horses and torque.
Hope this helps...
Happy hunting for HORSEPOWER!!!

This is a generalized question on what mods to do and doesn't belong in UTH as per:
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=247214

UTH is meant for more serious "wrenching".
Moving to S2000 Talk.

Exhaust. For the lighter weight.
