I am putting my car away for the winter, and I noticed the battery window is clear with the red ball in the centre. Upon lookingat the pictures, it appears I need to charge it.

I have put the battery charger on it, and there appears to be no difference yet in color. Has anyone else had this problem?

I haven't had any problems with the car starting and never noticed this before.

BTW, I disconnected the battery totally for the winter.

 

Check to see if the water level in the battery is ok by viewing if
from the side. If it's ok, you may need to charge it longer.
Also the indicator may just be stuck, try moving the battery side
to side. If none of these things work have the battery load tested.
It may need to be replaced. If so, wait till you take your car out
of storage before replacing it.
