road race/street race. Not all roads are straight.
oh, then supercharger (for long stretches) and sticky tires is all you should need

Strip the car. Get it to 2400-2500 lbs. You'll be cool.

I would personally not waste my time trying to beat an M3. Why beat the M3 when you could just buy one instead?

you do have a valid point but the M3 does not feel like a sports car like the S2000 does.

Well, it's fairly simple:

Step 1) Remove carpeting

Step 2) Remove dashboard

Step 3) Remove seats

Step 4) Remove bumpers

Step 5) Remove fenders

Step 6) Remove stock wheels and buy some lightweight 10" magnesium wheels

Step 7)Wear scarf, hat, and aviator lens

Step 8) Go find your prey

See they did it: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=776885

Spending money to make the S faster than an M3 is much cheaper than purchasing an M3.. that's why.

Strip the car? I like keeping the insides of my car how it is and keep the important parts like the AC.

If you do a search about the supercharger kits you'll get LOTS of information. But simply put, a supercharged S should be able to beat a STOCK M3 while retaining good reliability (from what I've read). I am about to go supercharged simply for an extra kick in the car.. not really to beat particular cars. You can't beat them all... and if you have that mentality to want to beat everything by keep modding the S to extreme levels, then bad things happen.

The blower is all you should need.

From a highway roll, it is not a contest: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=223831.

0-60, you will prolly need to add gears...
