I have an 04 so gears and ECU upgrade are not really possible. I have a Comptech intake and RS-R ehxaust. I was thinking of going with the comptech supercharger. would I need anything els?

Gears will go into an '04 I believe. They'd be the cincher, otherwise, you'd have to be a better driver. See, the S can perform exceptionally well, but the M3 is EASY to drive fast. With the S, launching is a major difficulty and you have to keep it in VTECH. Get the gears and SC, then you can make a mistake or two and still have him seeing S tail lights.

If you go to a race school you could probably beat most M3's (given the driver isn't as skilled as you) on any kind of twisty roads or road courses. If you add gears or a SC you will more than likely be able to beat an M3 in a drag race style competition.

My advice, Go to driving-race school, get some 4.57 or 4.77 gears and a SC and there will be no doubt you will crush a stock M3 in just about everything except passenger room.

gears on an 04 is not worth it. I feel I would be shifting all the time.

look at spec's website for some good info on clutch stages. or just search google, youll see diff setups all the way from heavier pressure plate, and stock disk, then getting into pucked disks, and onto multiple plates with sintered iron disks. stages defines how much holding capacity the setup has. my stage 2 from clutch specialties, is designed to hold 400 hp, 400 lb ft of torque. and it has an agressive full faced disk, and a worked honda pressure plate. hope that helps a bit, its nice seeing humble folks willing to ask for info. laters dave

I raced a M3 at the track. It was a new one and he thought that it was fast little did he know I was just a little faster. He killed me off the start, I has to repop the clutch the car boged dowm to 3k rpms. He was about 3 cars in front then I hit VTEC the boost went to 19lbs and I passed him like he wasnt moving. He ran a 13.6 and I ran a 12.7@ 119mph. it was kind of funny. His friends were in the stands talking shit, OH look hes kicking the s2ks ass, then they got mad when I won? They said that its not fair? Hes the one that called me out.
