Default Best way to check for odometer roll back?

Looking to purchase a my00 s2000, but it has ony 25k miles. Seems really low for an 00. buying it from the 2nd owner. The guy said the first owner was a cop and only put 10k miles in 3 years. Hes put on about 5k per year since then. Carfax shows that the car was sold at 10k miles, but he doesnt have service records for it after that because he did his own maintenance.

What areas of the car can I check?

I'm going to check the front tires to see if they are originals that came with the car and how much tread is left. Can anyone tell me what type of tires came with the my00s? Also, how long did they last you?

OEM tires are Bridgestone Potenza S0-2's but you should look at the rear tires, not the front...since the rear tires wear out faster. The fronts can last almost double the rears. Rear tires can last anywhere frome 15k-20k or slightly more, depending driving conditions.

Bridgeston Potenza S-02 205/55/16 89W front, 225/50/16 92W rear.
I had to replace my factory tires at 15,000 miles, but I drove it pretty hard.
Even with relatively easy driving however, I would expect that the factory tires to need replacing by 25k. Most likely, the car has already had all four tires replaced.

In any case, 25k miles for an '00 S2000 really isn't that unusual. www.cars.com lists a couple dozen 00-01 cars with less than 30k miles.

I'm not sure if the fronts have been replaced because he only mentioned replacing the rears.
