Best way to check for odometer roll back?

1 more thing.

check for paints and vin numbers. very important. even thought they don't show on carfax, it could be a small accident that needed a paint job, which could be a problem.

...you meant "inspection"

...and I believe Carfax only covers up to $5000 FTL.

oops. yea, inspection . Another good thing is this car doesnt have the deceleration buzz , at least not yet... Whats the ratio for older model s2000s with this buzz?

Very easy for a 2000 to only 20k on it. My 01 only has 7k and I know the original owner pretty well. Front tires may have been changed by the original owner if he autoX it regularly the fronts could have worn out pretty quick. But it's still up to you if you feel comfortable buy the car if you don't walk away.
