Default Best way to clean Comptech intake filter?

Just rinsing it out with water does not get all the dirt out. Any advise? Should I use higher pressure water or dare I say soap? Thanks

You have to use the cleaning kit.

http://www.comptechusa.com/store/620004.html

Uni Filter Service Kit
$11.00
620-004

Complete service kit, both Oil and Cleaner.
All you'll need to maintain your Comptech/Uni filter.
Your Uni filter should be cleaned
at each oil change or when it looks dirty.
Just spray on, let it soak for a couple
minutes, rinse with warm water, and let
dry. Re-oil with Uni filter oil.

Thanks... what if it has not been cleaned in say 8,000 miles or so? Am I losing HP or doing harmful damage to my engine or both? Thanks

As long as the filter is not letting anything through, your engine will be fine.
