Anyone use a bike rack on thier S2k?

Looking for feedback on trunk mounted carriers (saris Bones, Thule, etc...) or if putting on a trailer hitch is an option?

I havent' used one personally.. but the trunk mounted ones should suffice..

 

I'd be wary of a trunk mounted unit on the S trunk since it seems to be pretty thin and dings easily.

 

there is a nice trailer hitch that is made for our car, do a search. i made a custom hitch for my 928 years ago to pull my jet ski. of course the porsche had more than ample torque to pull a ship

 

DO NOT put a bones rack on the trunk!

I desperately wanted to do this myself (I'm a regular mountain biker Spring-Fall) and then found in the OEM Manual instructions to not use a bicycle rack on the car. Technically, you shouldn't use the hitch either but can probably get away with it.

The trunk is was to flimsy to support a bike rack. Rooftop options are no looking good either ;-)

 

Thule made a rack that slides into a trailer hitch.

You could get the Delan hitch and use the Thule rack!

Whats a Delan Hitch? Anyone have a hitch on there S2k? Saw a post of a guy with a removable hitch, also saw that Uhaul makes for model years 00-03, I have a MY04, would somthing like that still fit?
