I checked my coolant the other day and the reservoir had this black junk in it. The coolant also spells burnt.

It doesn't look like oil. And I checked the oil and it's clean-- no antifreeze floating around the top.

The only thing I can think of is that the car was stored for 9 months or so w/o being started and maybe that caused it?

Has this happened to anyone? I am going to take it in for a coolant flush in the next couple of days.
