Black wheels on red S2000?
Has anyone powdercoated or anodized their stock rims black?
I am thinking about doing it and I would like to see what they will look like before I take the plunge. If any of you stookers have done it or have photos could you please post them?

every once in a while someone asks about this, and I seem to be the only fanatic of black wheels (matt, of course) around here, so here we go again :

if you do it, please share info on cost, time, whatnot. i've been thinking of some kind of treatment for my stock wheels (car is silver)--not quite black, but close--maybe a black mixed with titaniun, a black smoke, but haven't looked into it too much yet. thanks.

More than black, if you powdercoat, try doing an off-silver gunmetal. Kinda like gunmetal grey, but there's just more silver in them.
Another option on a red S2K is powdercoating them white, or chroming them. I do recommend that if you go with the white, go with aftermarket wheels with plus 2 sizing, and the wheel with more of an open spoke pattern. Doesn't sound too good, but trust me you'll be happy with the results.
If you do decide to do black, do a semi-gloss black. Gloss black on rims doesn't fit, and matte black just makes the wheels look dingy (think blackend brake dust).
Just my .02
