Default Boot Cover storage

Hey guys, I've always found the boot cover to be kind of a PITA to store; it either sits on a shelf in my basement and never gets used, or it clutters up my garage and gets dirty sitting on the snowblower or something. Anyways, I was at the hardware store today, and saw these storage hooks. They were about $8ea, and fit the top boot great. I hung two from two studs, works out real nice for storing the top boot up and out of the way. Thought I'd share.

Nice job. Sensible and a good solution. Liking the pic of the Porsche.

Tonneau I think is a cockpit cover in Britain:

I probably should have either said "top boot" or "top cover" but I think either is correct.

True, but that's not the reason for the crowding - I just jam too much in there. 21x24x9.5 with three cars (1 on lift), tool chest, L-shaped array of kitchen cabinets for storage, two of my 8 bicycles, plenty of shelves, and quite a few car pictures (gleaned from car calendars, stuck in cheap K-mart frames), wall hooks for everything from bike pump to creeper. Etc.

The boot-on-hooks idea is a good one but, so far, mine lies on the end of the lift where it's likely to get run over some day. As little as I'll use it, might as well go in the attic (long trips only, and even then only if I can spare truck space in case I need to put the top up).

How long can the boot last in the ends-tucked-in-position before it won't readily lie flat once needed?
