I've been working with the boot. I've found it's MUCH easier to pop on and off if you don't bother with the front snaps behind the seats! Just shove the front of the boot down past the snaps and put the rear in place like usual (I still attach the side snaps to the boot straps).

Now, this may not seem logical but I have driven up to 90 MPH like this and the boot stays put.

I'm thinking of just REMOVING those snaps behind the seats so the boot will slide in to place even easier.

Just wondering.. how long does it take for people here to put the boot on? i think it's ranked up there with programming the flashing 12 on vcr's... if i can't get my timing under 2 min., idon't know if it deserves a space in the already cramped trunk..

Takes about two minutes, but it only goes on if the top is going to be down for a while. Short trips it stays in the trunk.

What about that recommendation (I read it somewhere) of never letting the sun hit the vinyl window when the top is down? That means you always have to use the boot if you are going to drive with the top down (they even said that it only takes 5 min to spoil your top). True or False?

Maybe I'm blind, but when my top's down the window is not exposed - the sun hits only the top itself.

It's real hot in SC in the summer, so I always put my top up when I park, otherwise I couldn't sit in the car, touch the wheel or the shifter!!

I also have a fear of someone just sitting in my stook, etc.
