Default Bought a frankencar with problems

So i got a code for a knock sensor. I decide to run a continuity test make sure all my connections are good and everywhere online tells me the wire is red with a blue stripe and its in the 31 pin connector on the ecu. My problem is my knock sensor wire is black with a red stripe and in the ecu connector its red with a blue stripe and no continuity. What the actual **** is goi g on here???? Im tempted to run a jumper wire and see if that fixes my issue. This car had also been wire tucked.

The wire color at the ECU does not necessarily correlate with the wire color at the sensor. Since your wiring is tucked, no one here could possibly know what is going on in-between. Your best bet is to test the actual sensor. An automotive lab oscilloscope would be best but a simple multimeter may be all you need.

Could mean your sensor is bad. Could mean your wiring is bad. Only sure way to know is to test the sensor.

With all the other issues with your other systems, I'm leaning to a bad wiring job from the wire tuck. Maybe you might get lucky and it may just be a missed common ground connection. Unfortunately, with the wire tuck there's no real way for us to know what is going on since that is a pretty major and highly custom modification.
