I can only assume the engine he placed in His ap1 is a F20c. Not 100% sure since I didn't read his entire post history.

I'm not new to the whole mod game. I've turboed my old camaro and have built my wrangler up pretty nicely.

I really do not think I'll be lowering it anytime soon. Maybe I'll just go with a cai and an exhaust for the time being. I know it won't be too much of a gain but it'll sure sound nice.

Even though it's not on the car anymore, I still consider the CAI to be one of my "best mods." Making the right sounds is as important as being quick.

My AP1 has a K&N FIPK and sounds like pure sex.

with the CAI. Try Fujita, very well made, easy to install and it roars.. sounds so good. People in front of you will move out of your way when they hear it.

Dont drive in rain with a CAI that has the filter down by the ground.

I've been looking at the Fujita though I'm a little hesitant because I'd like to get a strut bar eventually.

If you do use a CAI that picks air up close to the ground and has a constant pipe diameter, you need to install a bypass valve (only the genuine AEM bypass valves do the job properly), and even if the pipe changes diameter the way the V2 does, you need to shield the air filter from rain and drips. I'm actually still picking up air in the same place I did with the AEM V1 (right fender well), but now the filter is all the way up in the engine compartment, so I no longer need the bypass valve or shields.

Just be aware that a poor CAI install can distroy an engine due to hydrolock, and if you go that route, do it properly and don't cut corners.
