After washing my car yesterday, when I went to drive it, the brakes made this horrible screeching noise like when your old brakes wear out and you have replace them. It didn't go away, and when I drove it today, it would still make the screeching noise, at highway speeds, stops, everywhere, unless I pressed on the brake a little then it would go away. Then, if I have to stop and start the car again, the noise comes back?

What the hell is this, the car only has 11,000 miles on it, and I don't brake like a maniac.

The wet rotors probably developed a little oxidation from the wash. Give it a little time and they should be clean and shiny again. Do they look a little rusty?

Ok the brake noise is still there intermittently two days after the car wash. It goes away if I step on the brake really quick and let go, but comes back once every so often. It really sounds like when your brakes wear out and they make that screeching noise to tell you to change them, that scratching, screeching, noise. But, its only 11k miles, I don't see how they could be worn out. Anyone have ideas that would save me a trip to the dealer?

No rust on the brakes either, and this is the first time this happened before, and I always wash the car myself.

I've had a similar experience on another car. But after a week the sound went away on its own.

Ok, I'll give it another week, I guess. Kinda lame when a nice new car makes that noise though, weird stuff.
