Thumbs down Break lose upon VTEC?

Upon hitting VTEC, my rear just breaks lose and snaps out.
I am assuming, rear tires running out of tread since it seems so but wanted to make sure by checking in with you guys.

I was just going strait and it did that once VTEC was hit.

Also, anyone got any Rio front license hole plugs to donat?

Thanks

More than likely that is the case.
It also depends on road conditions and temperature, however this shouldn't be happening.
I think it's time you start looking for some new tires before you end up in the rhubarb.

just check the tread of the tyres.. what kind of conditions are you driving in when you experience this? and also what type of tyres do you currently own?

Condition wise...
Tire tread I think is low, its not much honestly...

I need to change, its still OE RE050e or something.
Basically floats out (no indication until realize your out).

dry, cool/cold 5x-6x degs F. strait tar/paved road. Happened last night.
I better get at least a pair of tires for rear.

any suggestions? would be used for hybrid (street and sometimes autoX).

I'm the 3rd owner of the s2k which I just got so and it seems like its OE for the past 2 1/2 yrs so yea...

Low traction situation. Either the road is slick and/or your tires aren't hooking up.

My car does it periodically in the winter -- too much salt, even with Blizzak snow tires. I just have to learn to go light on the throttle.

Also check your tire pressures - they greatly effect handling and stability. Also alignment if you get new tires after checking air pressure.

I will check air pressure but it should be good since it was just bought from dealer which they did several things prior to selling (maintence work, new filters, oils, etc...) and alignment feels fine. Drives strait and smooth but when I hit VTEC, thats when it happens. more than likely loss of traction now I think about it and due to tire being worn out. Need new tires I guess... hmmm time to hit stickies, again... anyone also have suggestion for autoX and Street (hybrid use).

Your alignment may feel fine but in reality you should check it with the new tires and save yourself some tire life.

Yea I will consider alignment after I change the rear tires to new ones.
The front seems alright and honestly I don't have the funds to get all 4 at the moment

I have found that I can get 2 sets of rear tires per set of front tires, so you should be ok as long ad the tread depth is still sufficient. I went with the RE01Rs for the rears when i replaced them. They seem to be pretty comparable to the RE050s if you ask me. They do pretty well for anything I throw at them. Another good thing is that they arent too bad on price either. Good luck man.
