Are the oem ap2 re050's horrible in cold cold winter? With mine I completely lose traction shifting into 2nd and again going into 3rd gear and bounce the tires around. Is that because it is super cold 10-20 degrees F or because of something else? Never had this problem last winter when I had Fuzion ZRI tires but those are a harder tire to begin with so don't harden as much as the re050's do in the cold I wouldn't think.

Yes, below around 45 degrees F, you have to use your thinking cap when driving on RE050. It's not dificult though.

We have no clue where the OP lives. If he's running summer tires in a place where the temp is below 40-50 degrees, they'll be scary and break free easily.

Well I will check tire pressure again, but honestly the rear inner does look low on tread, even the sides so I would say tire change would be good either way. Then an aligment incase the dealer didn't do it or a great job.

I will have to look around for some nice OE spec rear tires and that Dunlop (Direzzas, he's talking about the Star Spec model).

Are these the Dunlop your talking about?

I am guessing no~ but want to make sure once again.

How are the

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 and Sumitomo HTR Z III?
Are they good tires for AutoX and Street daily?
I am more concerned about handling as my top then tread then ride/comfort..

Another concern is price which obviously lowest "possible" is best; however. I am considering 2xx-3xx for both rear and is it ok to have different brand on the front and rear? Not left and right but only front.

IG: RE05s on front and something else on back.

"Good" for autocross will wear quickly and cost more in the long run. It just depends on what your tire budget is. And where are you located (will help us give advice).

Depending on where you live and what your garage situation is, maybe a set of all-seasons and a separate set of used AP2 wheels with AX tires?

It doesn't sound like you live in snow country.

it's most likely your tires though. As mine go bald I begin to go REALLY sideways ahah

lately the new dunlop direzza's have been really popular. They have been compared to the re01r's and azenis. Check them out

No, just crank the wheel all the way in either direction and floor it. Make sure there aren't any obstacles in the vicinity though.

NO!!

Try these:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...peed_rating=(Y)

If the link is broken, they're the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec.
