Default Broken glass window on softop - replacing with plastic window

Hello,

i recently took control of a 2000 S2k from my uncle who had no room for it. When he gave it to me it came with a new softop ( I believe from ebay or t emu) that came with a glass window. After nearly two days of work i got the new top on but you can tell its not very good quality, i had to make some modifications for it to fit properly. 1 month later, i was driving the car with the top off and decided to put it back on before i drove him since it had gotten colder. As i powered the top the back glass snagged something and immediately shattered (see picture). Instead of getting a new glass or top i have decided to order some 40 gauge tinted pvc to create my own softop window (see picture). My issue now is that the edges of the glass window are still stuck on the top with glue, i tried heating with a heat gun to help pull it off but no luck. Does anyone have other suggestions?

Those studs for the tonneau cover in the middle of the rear tray / back of the roll hoops need to be removed for 00-01 conversion tops, otherwise the glass can catch them and shatter when you try to put the top up, as you have found out.

Sorry this happened to you, it sucks.
