Default Broken Latch Door on Stereo Dash

Hi and thanks looking. My latch door on my 2001 will not shut because a little piece broke off (Circled in pic) Any ideas on what I can do? Does the whole dash need to be replaced? I'm tired of my knee smashing into it when I get in the car LOL.

Id try to glue it back on if you have the piece that broke off but if not, look at a replacement in a junkyard. Good luck

A new door is only 20-25 from the dealer.

To replace it, you just need to pull the pins in the hinges (like any other door in your house). A paper clip is the right size to push them out from the inside out.

wow cool I didn't realize that. I took to a dealer before and they said the whole dash needed to be replaced, but I knew the woman didn't know what she was talking about. I'll check it out tonight...thanks for your help!

Pull the whole bezel out and set it on a tray so you do not lose the pins when they pop out. It is pretty easy to do. I used a small punch and it worked well.
