I just put a deposit on a Suzuka Blue #6975 and it is on the ship over according to the dealer. They said they are expecting it to reach the states any day and it will be about a week from then until it gets to me.

Really? How do you know this? My VIN is 6598 and my dealer says he has no clue when it will arrive. I was really hoping mine would arrive before end of month and I had all but completely lost hope. Thanks.

dealers receive an inbound report through email letting them know what cars of what color are coming in. the dealers should be able to estimate what day it is coming in. try asking other dealerships. some dealers just aren't as competant.

Why are there so many people waiting to buy S2000? Are you all wanting a specific color or something. I decided to buy my Spa Yellow 2002 on a Thursday, found a local dealer with 2 of them. One has $4,000 worth of mods on it already, so I bought the cheaper stock one the next day. From decision to acquisition took all of 48 hours for me, so I'm wondering why there are so many people having to wait several months for these things. Is it availability, specific colors, price discounts, what?

For me the main reason is I didn't want a used one. Spending 5 minutes on this site told me that! Look at the way some people treat their S's and tell me that you honestly want to risk getting an S that has been beaten to death. With a used one, I have no way of knowing if it was broken in properly either. Also, I got mine brand new for $32,411 out the door. Why get a used 2000 or 2001 to save $2000? Isn't worth it IMO.
