GeorgeP, I think your dealer is bs'ing you. It's NOT possible for Honda Dealers to track exactly where the car is. They don't have any mechanism to do this.

 

I don't think he is BS me because he had called me the day prior with the ship date and I had accepted that it would not be in until mid July. There was no reason for him to call back the next day telling me it was in Texas and would be here by the 1st. He said that they can run a VIN locator to try and track a car however often they get no data. In this case it came up the car was in Texas. I don't think he would have gone to the trouble to make a long distance calling telling me that it was there if he did not have that info. Plus it would only make me mad when it did not show up on the first! George

 

Same for me........My car is #6482...still waiting...My dealer said that last week that he expected it this week...built May 24, 2002....#6482....

I would make sense that it would show up soon......

 

Mark, read my previous post. I think there is a good chance we will have our cars for the 4th. The dealer told me to call tomorrow and he may have more info. I will post what he said. George

 

Good news! My dealer called me back a little later and said that he ran the VIN tracker after what I told him and found out my car is almost here! He said it's in New Mexico and is scheduled to be at the dealership in Lafayette, LA by July 1st. Now I just need to get my plane ticket to go pick it up next week! Thanks guys for all your help and I'll be sure to let you know once it gets here.

Hi, GeorgeP. I live in Charlotte too and I just got mine in this past Friday, June 21st. My VIN 6319 with a build date of May 16th so said Hendrick Honda. I thought that day would never come. It is a blast!!!! Just wait until you go to pick it up. That will be one fun day. Good Luck. Kev

 

Update on VIN 6620. The car has arrived in Knoxville and I will pick it up tomorrrow! George

 

That's great George! Mine is going to Lafayette, LA so hopefully it will get there later this week. I would love to be able to fly out there on Friday to go pick it up. Enjoy it and thanks for your updates and help.
