Painting the outside of the roof for that "ragtop" look. It was a huge pain in the ass to do and easy to mess up. Thankfully it turned out ok, but the window decals have a hard time sticking onto the roof paint.
btw, I wrote an email to Tamiya the other day to see if they have any S2000 body or RC kit left, and their answer is no. So for poeple who want a kit, your best bet is still Ebay.... but it's gonna cost ya.... last time I checked (couple months ago), it went up to 200+..
FYI: Same kit with BMW body went only for 130 or so, so S2000 > M
Looks tight!
It was bad for me to see this thread...now my old hobby might make a comeback.
Now all you have to do is trim those body posts down some...it used to drive me nuts when people left them 10ft high

If anyone is interested, I provided a link towards the Kyosho S2000. Not quite as detailed as the Tamiya S2000 but its pretty close and hey, its got an OEM lip on it too.
A lot better than the HPI S2000 thats for sure....
Anyways, $175 shipped is quite a good deal considering its a ready to run (RTR) model and includes full electronics/radio. I did a little research and too bad it comes prepainted in red, so it will probably only appeal to NFR owners.
If the above link doesn't work, you can type in Kyosho Pureten S2000. Its in an ebay store.

gotta love tamiya for not over-looking any detail.
Oh, i meant just the body detail when I compared them.
Personally, I don't care too much about the drivetrain. I mostly prefer 4WD for ease of control. The Kyosho Pureten chassis is junk though. Tamiya has always designed their car kits a little differently but I like them for that.
