Default Burn Out Question

OK, this is probably a very ignorant question, but how the heck do you spin your tires out from a standstill without killing the clutch??

I am used to driving a front driver and you can easily get the tires of the Integras and such to spin when desired, but the S2k seems to be extremely difficult. Even a early 240sx was'nt a problem with rear drive. I tried at 4000rpm and it wont go!

Is it because of the LSD or the clutch, please explain!

I too had this problem. Smoked my clutch pretty bad trying to spin at 4500rpms. Then, I did a search on "launching" and found out that there is a "special" way to launch.
1) rev to 6500 rpms (vtec range)
2) pop the clutch out. Do NOT let it out slowly or you will smoke the clutch.
3) hang on!!!!
Try searching "launching" and read what everyone else has to say.

If you also bump up your tire pressure, it'll be easier to burn out. Search the previous threads. Sev has a very good post on launching techniques.

Don't try with junk in the trunk, remove spare tire, remove passenger, adjust rear alignment for max negative camber, overinflate rear tires, or just turn steering wheel at 6000 + rpm when dropping the clutch and flooring the gas.

Or come to Turkey, where the roads are so slippery that all you have to do is drive normally. Tire spin happens. Want more? just push the gas pedal down quicker.
