Default Burning!

Hello All,

After a frantic year of buying 2006 350z, swapping that (stupidly) for BMW 335d coupe (rocket ship!) I decided I need to save some cash and landed myself a lovely 2001 S2 with 50k.

Full Honda Service History and driven mostly by a middle aged woman who was more concerned with how it looks - hopefully it hasn't been screwed too much!

Anyway, if I take it into the vtec range for a minute or two, I tend to get a slight burning smell.

Normal? Any ideas you lovely lot?

Cheers

Dru

Gas or oil??

You should have someone look behind the car while you do this, (like a parking lot).

FYI - AP1's are known for a little smoke thrown out of the exhaust at v-tec.

I have not experienced any unusual oders with my S.

That being said, during extended hard driving the breaks will get toasty and smell...

You might be slipping the clutch too much. That's an easy source of a burning smell.
