Default Burning Smell~~

Hi all,

I smelled some sort of burning plastic or burning oil smell coming out from the rear tire area after I parked my car into the garage. My car approximately 1 week ago, and it has only less than 200 miles on it. I wonder if others have the similar problem...... and what caused the buring smell?

thanks for the help

I'm sure it's just normal smells for a new car, various coatings will heat up and stink a little while when the car is new like yours. It'll go away in a couple hundred miles.

Did you check to see if they left the spring spacers in. I didn't think that was a problem anymore but maybe.

Twice, in the 3 years I've owned this car, I've been "attacked" by plastic bags in the street. Both times, I've seen them floating across the road, tried to avoid them, and both times they got caught on the exhaust system. They seem especially fond of getting wrapped around the little sound resonator extension. The smell lingers for days each time.

I assume I must have insulted a plastic bag in a past life and it's relatives are trying to get back.
