Default Buyer's information?

My s13 has become too much of a project for me to handle at the moment, so I'm hoping to be buying an S2000 within a couple of months. I've done some searching, but I haven't been able to come up with any sort of buyers' guide or list of common problems (besides the ones that are advertised for ~$20.00.

Any hints? I figure I'll be buying from a dealer because it'll be easier to get financing and I'm hoping it will get me a more reliable car in the end. Any thoughts on this? I've got a price range of up to about 15k. I figure that should get me a 2002 or possibly a 2003 in my area (LA).

I can see that. I've been following the prices for a couple of years now and it's really just gotten to the point where I feel I can afford a decent one. I'm pretty psyched
