Default Buying gears, Did searches

Hello, just wondering if you guys could steer me in the right direction about getting gears. I plan on staying stock(no sc or turbo) in the future. Ive done some searches on it and have found good information on the 4.57 gears and the 4.77 gears which interest me.

1. I know they dont make the 4.57 anymore, now its the 4.56. I read that the 4.56 are stronger than the 4.77 but does that really matter much since the 4.77 gears were designed for a kia sportage with 180 pounds of torque which is more than we got stock.

2. Anybody with either gears installed, can you advise me if any have failed on you.

3. For those with the 4.77, is the highway crusing speed of 80-90 tough in the sense of the rpm's and always having to be in vtec. If so, is that bad for the engine being on vtec for 1 hr str8 crusing at 90.

4. Is cryo treating necessary. I dont do many clutch dumps(may be 20 for having the car for almost 2 years), dont auto-x much.

5. Is there any extra parts needed for gears like some honda shims or something of that nature. I know for the old 4.57 they needed some parts, what about the 4.77.

6. Finally, is there a huge difference in acceleration between the 4.57 and the 4.77. Is it worth (for those who have 4.77) feeling like you have a 5 speed car compared to stock.

Thanks for all your help, oh and by the way, those who do have the gears installed, if you could note how much mileage you have had them.

Thanks again
