I just went from an Acura RSX Type S myself a month ago, as long as you can afford to have a two seat convertible you won't regret it one bit. I know I haven't looked back and don't even plan on it, best purchase I ever made.

just don't have kids and you're good, you can make due with little loads rather than piling all kinds of crap in your car.

Welcome to the site. I love the fact you just 'totaled' your last car and are now ready to get a S.
Driving this car in the rain is usually quite challenging to a newbie.

first day driving my AP1 home from the dealer and I almost crashed it! be careful

I came from a BB6 prelude and although I loved that car, I am even more in love with the s2000! Just treat it with respect.

Replaced my Teg GSR with an AP2 S a couple of months ago and I love it. Assuming this will be your only car (like me), you need to be ready to cope with the cons of owning a roadster. The space in the integra's hatch really spoiled me and its frustrating not being able to fit a large suitcase in the trunk of the S. The soft top can also make the car get pretty noisy (in a bad way) and it can get pretty tiring on long trips. I commute almost 100 miles a day and I've learned to live with it but some people might want to kill themselves.

In terms of driving pleasure, nothing comes close. Yes you will need to retrain your mind on how to drive because RWD FM is waaaaay different than the FF on your RSX, but it's totally worth it. Just don't be an idiot for the first couple months and try to learn the limits of the car on an open track before you really push it.
