I always get compliments on the red interior......I think it looks best with the silver exterior. Ricks console cover (red, black leather) and my carnival shift boot (red/balck) help fancy things up even more.

I am so sorry. I forgot to mention that the color of the car is going to be silver. Whoops...I guess that was kind of important?

If you can stand looking at the red, get the red. If you can't stand looking at the red get the black. If you choose the red, be sure to take your rick's console cover with you when you take delivery. IMHO the leather, is not of the highest quality, and to accentuate low quality seems like a bad idea. As for the carpet, same rule applies. I have black/black but that Silver is so damn sweet, stop there, put some nice clean black interior in that baby and call it good.

As far as I know rick is the only one to tackle this problem. See the sponsor list at the bottom of the page for a link to Rick's gear. I don't have one but every comment I've read about his products has been positive. Great materials and craftsmanship...

i'd personally prefer black. red looks nice and flashy...but.

black because it hides stains/dirt well. face it, no matter how careful you are, you'll have some dirty spots after a few years.
also because it'll hide wear on the leather a little better.
also because i have no idea how the color will fade in a few years, especially with the sun baking the seats so often. i dont want it looking like crinkly old Buick leather after a few short years.

but thats just me.

oh darn...not you've got me thinking again...you are right about the wear and tear part of it. Black is very good about hiding wear, spots, etc.

Where as red...well, I don't know. I sure don't want my car looking likeone of those buicks though !!!!!

get black. if it's too subtle for you, you can spice it up with a titanium kit.

we have silver/red and love the combo.

the carpet does suck, no two ways around that. but i'd wager that the carpet in the black interior cars suck as well.

we've added rick's console and shift boot and they really look nice.

i think the silver/red looks classic. reminds me of a 50's era 'vette or porsche. plus, it's a little different.

i haven't experienced any wear/tear problems as of yet. of course, i am pretty anal about the car (and suggest you get that way as well if you are seriously considering an open top sports car that costs more than $30K).

truth is that either way you can't go too wrong.

silver/black is more subdued and you can probably fudge a bit more on the carpet vacuming, etc. but... red is more stylish (check out pic's of the Rick's car with the black/red steering wheel to match the interior) that is sharp!!!

good luck and enjoy the ride.
