I love the S2K. But I've always wanted an EVO. My only concern is reliability. But the new 04's come with a 10 year/100K powertrain warranty. So at least all your major stuff is covered.

A convertible is awesome, and the EVO can't replace that, but the EVO is the only car that has made me smile during every shift of the gears, every turn of the corners and every tap of the brakes.

It may not be as nice looking/elegant as the S2K, but when it comes to performance, it's hard to beat.

I'd rather have both!

But I'd probably get the EVO over the S2K.

Now, you being 16 and getting either of these cars...well, that's a whole other story.

Tell your parents that you plan to street race the car and let them pick one for you. Then you know how much they love you.

they're saying Evo for a variety of reasons. a 2 seater is really constricting. imagine moving to college in a roadster. how can you take more than one person with you on a late night fast food run? also, AWD is better than RWD for someone to basically learn to drive with.

the driving course will help you control a lot of the "flaws" of a RWD, and you can't beat the fact the S-2000 is a convertible.

hauling shit and the year round driveability of the Evo make it a good choice.

i'm 20, and chose the S-2000. do i regret it? no, but there are times where the Evo would've made life a lot easier.

Dude your young... get a s2000.. enjoy your youth while you have it... 16 yr old with top down in the school parking lot will get you alot of ... remember you live once and your only young once... I know 2 s2k's (1 being a close friend who got me into buying a s2k) that totaled his car. After seeing is car I was happy he was alive and also amazed.. s2k is a safe car if you look at the side beams etc... But yea s2k > Evo ... 2 Door with top down > 4 door with all your nagging friends. Trust me your age you only need you and a girl

Sounds like your parent(s) want to collect on your life insurance sooner than later pal. With an attitude and parent(s) like this, it's no wonder our teens are dying on the roads in record numbers. SOMEONE GET A CLUE! And you can say you're a Mario Andretti lite and don't plan on wrecking. Either did my neigbor's 16 year old either, now deceased.

Get the Evo or even a STI- I don't want the S2000 insurance rates going up any higher.
