Whatever car you choose, don't street race, especially in crowded areas...

Even if you have no regard for yourself, think about what it would be like for someone you love to get hit by someone like you and the consequences that go along with it.

On the car decision side, I don't like Mitsu's at all so I say go S2000 and drive responsibly, take your performance driving skills to the track.

She wasn't racing, but my daughter is alive today because her first car was big and heavy. An idiot with the headlights off nailed the passenger door at 60. She walked away.

Some years later, she's driving a WRX. The size of her first car made it possible for her to have the time to learn the good defensive reactions you need with a smaller car. You're not born with them.

No offense to you what so ever, 16 year olds will always be 16 year olds, period. It's up to parents to be just that, ".parents." the fact that they would even consider putting their 16 year old male in an S2000 is criminal and 100% thoughtless. Like I said though, you are 16 and whether or not you think you "see the big picture" , you don't. if your dad really cared about your well beign and did his homwork he would have out you in a 325 XI, or a volvo. Putting a 16 year old in an S2000 is nothing more than an accident waiting to happen, one day you will agree with me. Drive safe.

I agree with a previous poster.....if your DAD is going to live his childhood trough you.....Get the EVO so my insurance doesn't go up.

Seriously, your Dad wanting to get you an S2K or EVO is not responsible....if he wanted you safe, he should get you a Volvo if safety is his concern. Putting any 16 year old behind the wheel of a 240 HP Car is as good as giving a 6 year old a loaded gun and telling them to be responsable and don't blow their head off.

I bet Klebold and Harris's parents thought they where good parents for respecting their sons privacy and hobbies.....I bet they wished they would have been a little more responsible and payed more attention to their sons activities. Maybe a tragety could have been prevented.

That may seem a little harsh, but the reality is they will feel the same way if they let you get that car and you kill yourself or someone else. Your Dad will be kicking himself in the ass for letting you get that car. This I guarantee 100%.

Maybe you should be the adult and tell your Dad to grow up!
