we are picking evo over s2k because we know that if you do get s2k it will be a disaster.

I just made this decision this week. MY03 Evolution or MY04 S2000. Obviously, I purchased the S2000. One deciding factor for me was reliability. If you check out evolutionm.net you'll see a lot of people have burned out their clutch in less than 10,000 mi, some as low as 2000mi. Also Mitsubishi does not seem to friendly on fixing the Evo under warranty .

Dude, you're too old for an S2000. It's a young guy's car. Get an Element. Anybody 16 years old is way too old to drive an S2000. You're reflexes won't be fast enough. You'll drive it too conservatively. You won't track it enough or really push it.

Forget the S2000 or the Evo. Get them for your kids. Old, responsible adults like you deserve something more practical.

Evo. Because at 16, you can fit more beer in the back when you're drinking in the woods behind the Jr. High School.

Why don't you look into an RSX-S? How about a WRX? When I was in HS (before there were S2000's, Evo's, STI's), everyone was getting Z28's and Mustang GT's. I'd say that a good 75% of them were totalled before graduation. In my opinion, kids in high school simply aren't responsible enough to drive RWD, high horespower cars. It's that simple. Oh, and even if a kid is responsible enough to drive a car like that, his friends won't be responsible enough to ride in it. . . imagine trying to get the smell of puke out of a car you care about. It's not pleasant.

I thought we already had V8 killer in the s2ki family...

Here's a thought http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...threadid=194374

Also, you should be able to get the Evo cheaper than the S.

Get the piece of s--- Evo. You'll be happier. When you grow up, you'll recognise something that has quality and value. Then consider the S3000.

do a test drive, and see which one you feel more connected too.

try not to base the whole purcahse on speed, but how comfortable u are while driving it.

when i was 16, i got a 93 touring edition rx-7, that was a fun car.
and then i sold it and my parents got me a s2k.

you'll be pimp driving ur s2k to school.

my friend has a evo, and i love driving it becuase the all around power.
but then during the summer he always complains that he wants a drop top.
