or maybe its really hot and you have the AC on?
i realize this should rob a decent amount of power, but im pretty positive my 97 camry could pull on me with all conditions the same... I mean its a v6 but still
lol well it could be the cat, i remember our 95 lexus ls 400 had this issue, first it was having a hard time pulling to get the speed limit a couple of weeks later it can only top out at 45 and the rpms wont go higher than 4k and found out the cat was bad
lol, well if the injector cleaner is okay and that guy I mentioned is crazy, then ill try that out. I dunno seems to be like all the time. Also I dont know what any other s2000s feel like since mine is the only one iv ever driven, so I would not know if there is something wrong in the first place lol.

Has a lot to do with air temperature, humidity, the way you feel at the moment (our mind has a way of it's own - psychology) etc... Turbo/charged cars are way less influenced with these kinds of factors.
Lots of good suggestions so far. Assuming that your car is in good shape mechanically, here are some things to consider about atmosheric conditions that will adversly affect performance:
High (altitude)-air is thinner
Hot (temperature)-air is thinner
Humid (water in the air)-H2O molecules displace O2 from air
All of these variables affect the density of oxygen in the air that you are going to mix with the fuel you are going to burn in your engine. The ECU can compensate for some differences, but not all of them. The more dense the O2 in the air, the more fuel the ECU can schedule for combustion in your engine. Bigger bang! More power.
These H's, plus one more called Heavy (how much do you weigh), are variables that aviators consider each time they make a takeoff in order to compute runway length required, climbout performance with an engine loss, obstacle clearance requirements, etc.
I hope this helps you understand atmospherics.
I would suggest that you might be getting used to the power of the car. How long have you had it? Sometimes I don't feel that I'm going that fast but the car is revving as usual.
More then likely its the hot air affecting your car. Its hot here in Cincy and my car feels a little sluggish. I wouldn't worry too much.
Goes over the radiator in front of the intake, to help keep the air going into the engine from getting heated up too much. Doesn't eliminate heat related issues, but sure does help a lot.
The above pictures are from a cut-up windshield sun screen.
valve adjustment, every been done? that can help some, improve mpg and performance.
change the oil, this canmake the car seem like it have increased performance and if the oil is filthy it will decrease performance.
bring it into a shop and give them yoru complaint. what are you comparing it to? did it act this way before you bought it? what has changed since you bought it? has performance decreased markedly since then or is yoru complaint generic...these cars, especially the 2000-2003 with the 9000 rpm engines have different gearing and less torque than the newer cars and that is a common complaint...little low end torque...it is a 4 cyl engine, you are comparing it to ?????
