Do you still have the little black front strakes attached to the bottom of the bumper? I've seen a few cars with them removed (either by body shops or previous owners) and thenew owner never knew about them.

Also, was the top up or down. There is a big difference.

I was going 138mph past a semi, and right as I passed it, all that wind that was being cut by the semi hit my car at an angle, at which point I could feel the back end of the car starting to go. I corrected it, but a little too much, so I started almost fish-tailing--all at 130mph! As poo started filling my britches, I coasted down safely to 100mph. Burst of cross winds = bad.

Anyway, the car felt very stable at 100, 110 and even 120. But after that, it did feel a little twitchy. My top was up (but the wind was howling through the seals..) and my tires are 225 Dunlops in the rear (yeah, I know, got to change that).

Perhaps a wing might help, if you're going to be at those speeds alot?

The strakes are little black flaps that go in front of each wheel. They hang down maybe an inch below the body panels. The one in the picture is an accessory side strake, not the one that's being referred to.

Look in at the front, just in front of the tires there is a black flap (strake):

And yes, that little flap of plastic makes a huge difference at high speeds.

The S2k has a shorter wheelbase then other cars, which at high speeds will be less stable aerodynamically then other cars that have a longer wheelbase.
Did I just read that?
