mine also makes the loud scrapeing sound when i start it up.. but mine dose it everythime

I have had that problem before but it was cause the oil was low and needed changed. BTW im up in UT at below freezing temps.

Did you ever get it checked out to see what the noise was? From reading on here it seems like it is the timing chain tensioner but not sure. Sounds pretty nasty.

never got it checked out? it quit doing it after i got my oil changed this past week? who knos lol
