if you don't want to fiddle for 3 hrs, buy a new slave cylincer from the 00-03 which did not have the CDV. I did that, installing it next week.

It takes 15 minutes tops. 3 hrs LOL!! You do need a pick to get out the clip holding it in. Go to sears and by a pick set for under $10. If you dont have tools to work on your car then dont take things apart

well i didn't really wanna go as far as removing it.

but if it isn't a big ordeal to do, perhaps i could have it done when i put in a new clutch and flywheel for not much more money?

I am somewhat financially challenged with the payments for the SP2

haha
If you drive your car hard like i do and leave it in your clutch will be toast in no time. If you dont want to take it out then dont complain. I dont dump my clutch but i do shift at redline and dont like my clutch to slip

Search CDV removal it's in FAQ. In the thread it tells you that to do the job you need a pick. Simply jack up the car remove two 10mm bolts take the valve apart use a pick to remove clip(part that must take 3 hrs if you dont have a pick) reinstall clip and put back together. If you are not good or used to working on cars it might ake you a half hour. It took me 15 minutes. Buy a pick you will use it again it comes in a set of 3 different ones right at Sears. Dont ny an Ap1 valve. the fact people do this amazes me unless you are rich and dont care about spending money. This is a very easy job and there are pictures showing you everything to do step by step. i would do this job for free for a friend it's so easy

Blacknot.$60 isn't a ton of $. Some people say it took them 10 minutes, some say it took the 3 hours. I do not mess around with brakes and clutch stuff on my car..because I'm a wimp.
